Picolit DOCG Colli Orientali del Friuli
A pure emotion. The most precious of treasures, set among the Colli Orientali del Friuli. A very rare native grape with a centuries-old history.
Its sparse bunch offers very few fruits that we know how to select by hand with great care and let wither in the fruttaio until late autumn.
"Golden yellow in the glass, the nose reveals its unmistakable character. An intense, liqueur-like bouquet, rich in floral hints, exotic fruit and beautiful melon notes. The palate is smooth and creamy, complex and well balanced. A very nice finish with gentle hints of almond' (from the guide Ai Migliori vini d'Italia by D'Agata and Comparini).
A wine for conversation and meditation, but also an excellent companion for fermented cheeses and foie gras pâté.
